This special one-off 2020/21 “Stay Taupo – Fish Poronui” package enables Kiwis to experience the magic of fishing Poronui, while staying at The Hilton, Taupo this summer.
Fishing at Poronui is synonymous with gin-clear waters and big brown and rainbow trout in the heart of New Zealand’s backcountry. With two rivers running through the 6,500-hectares property, and many other rivers and streams nearby, your expert Poronui guide will have you stalking brown and rainbow trout in the most stunning of backcountry conditions. You’ll soon see why international anglers have been coming back year after year for more than 30 years.
Each morning, your guide will collect you after breakfast and transfer you by road to some of our favourite Poronui fishing spots. Spend the day casting your fly to resident rainbow and brown trout, before being returned each evening to the comfort of The Hilton hotel.
Three nights’ accommodation at The Hilton Taupo in a Guest Room Plus, daily breakfast each morning, picnic lunch on fishing days, transport to and from The Hilton on fishing days, access to Poronui’s favourite fishing areas, two days guided fly-fishing and any gear needed. Includes a 10% off voucher for meals at The Hilton’s Bistro restaurant.
