It’s not what’s under the tree that matters…
Some reflections by our staff as they prepare for Christmas
“Spending Xmas with two sets of Whanau – my Poronui Whanau and my own Whanau who always wait for me to get home before feasting on glorious food” Lorraine
“It will be my first Christmas celebration in New Zealand. I’m excited.” Donna
“Christmas is not what’s under the tree that matters. It’s who are gathered together, delicious foot, great company, joyful music with lots of laughter.” Jade
And, from Eve: Thank you to all our team for all your hard work leading up to and over the festive season. It can be a stressful time balancing all our commitments. Hope you all get time to enjoy your friends and family.
I would like to share a recipe from my Aunt Peg who gave the recipe to me many years ago for Christmas. You can see it has been well used! Goes well with plum pudding on Christmas Day with lots of ice – enjoy.
Wishing you and your families a very Merry Christmas. May we share lots of adventures in 2020.
