24 November 2021
The New Zealand Government today announced the next steps in reconnecting with the world. It’s not quite ‘arms open wide’ yet…but here at Poronui, we are super-excited to finally have a clear date from our Government for welcoming back our international friends.
While short on detail, the critical information relating to International Visitors (non-NZ passport holders) is:
- Fully Vaccinated foreign nationals will be able to enter New Zealand without going into MIQ (Managed Isolation and Quarantine) from 30 April, 2022.
- There will be a requirement for self-isolation for 7 days and the return of a negative test prior to entering the community.
- Further details on how self-isolation will be implemented will be made available by the Government in December 2021.
It’s been an incredibly long wait, but finally we can look forward to welcoming you all again! We will keep you posted as more information comes to hand…and we are preparing our arms for some big warm hugs!
