Poronui is an iconic, high-country New Zealand estate. The Lodge, perched above the ‘home pool’ on the Taharua River, exudes a warm welcome. Whether its afternoon tea by the crackling log fire, après activity drinks and finger food around the bar, or canapés and pre-dinner cocktails on the sunny deck, the atmosphere is relaxed and informal.
There are seven individually appointed guest cabins each with ensuite bathroom and private deck. The Lodge is where you have the opportunity to share your experiences with fellow adventurers, often the catalyst for long term friendships. The kitchen is renowned for its gourmet food, expertly prepared by our team of chefs who pride themselves on sourcing locally and in season.
Lodge guests have access to the Stables area including Snooker Room with a full-sized antique English billiard table and two distinguished dining locations. Also located in this complex is the gym, sauna and massage treatment rooms.
At Poronui there is nothing you have to do and plenty that you can do. While famous for our fishing, there is a plethora of other quintessentially kiwi experiences on offer at our luxury lodge.
