Steve Meng took this magnificent stag on the first day of his Poronui hunt this week. The great stag, taken on a hunt with Poronui guide Mark McGlashan had plenty of scars to show that he has been fighting in earnest although up until now there had been little in the way of roaring action. Now that a few animals are making a bit of noise the action is likely to turn to a frenzy over the next week!
